This month’s resource is First Draft with Sarah Enni, an interview-style podcast about writing and publishing. This post is going to be short and sweet. I love this podcast. Even as an independent author (aka, I don’t have an agent or a publishing house) I find this to be a magnificent resource for writers and a super cool peek behind the curtain for readers. The interviews are all chock full of great tips, but more than that, they expose the humanity of artists and creators. I find myself nodding along during almost every episode because of how truthful and candid Sarah and the interviewees are in their discussions about writing, publishing, and the life events that bring us to craft.
If you want to be traditionally published, this is a must-listen. If you want to independently publish, this is a must-listen. If you love books and listening to authors talk about their writing lives, this is a must-listen.
Here are a few of my favorite recent (as of publishing this post) episodes of the show:
First Draft Episode #297: Brittney Morris
First Draft Episode #292: Mary H. K. Choi
First Draft Episode #280: Sabaa Tahir
I don’t know how else to say it. Check out First Draft with Sarah Enni, and let me know what you think!
